Global Vegan Voices Book
I am co-editing a book anthology with my colleague Altamush Saeed, which will be published by Lantern Publishing & Media in 2027. This book will seek to amplify the voices of vegans from around the world with the goal of bringing new knowledge and insights to light, and revealing a rich diversity in vegan experience.
I am looking for diverse perspectives on the vegan experience and am now accepting expressions of interest.
I am especially interested in hearing from individuals from the Global South and ethnic minorities. If you would like to contribute a chapter, please read the guidelines below and submit your idea no later than 30 April 2025 by clicking on the button below.

Contributions could include (but are not limited to) stories, reflections, essays, and poems.
Word count is flexible, but as a guide I would advise 2,000 - 4,000 words. Poems can be much shorter.
You can write about anything relating to veganism but if you would like some prompts, think about: What is it like to be vegan in your country? What cultural experiences can you talk about? What would you like the West to know? What is not spoken about enough in mainstream vegan activism?
All submissions will be reviewed and edited, so perfect English language is not required.​

You will be notified whether or not your chapter idea has been accepted within two weeks of submitting your idea. You will need to be able to submit your first draft by the end of June 2025.
